托福語(yǔ)法備考：there is/are/was/were
There’s something I must say．
我有些話必須得說(shuō)。
或后面跟動(dòng)詞不定式：
There’s nothing to do．
沒(méi)事可干。（沒(méi)我們干的事/必須干的事。）
there結(jié)構(gòu)可以與另一個(gè)助動(dòng)詞+be結(jié)構(gòu)連用：
There must be no doubt about this．
這一點(diǎn)不能含糊。（Examda）
There may be a letter for me．
大概有我一封信。
或與seem＋be，appear＋be連用：
There seems to be something wrong here．
這兒好像有點(diǎn)不大對(duì)勁。
以上這么用的there通常不重讀。
注意不要將有以上用法的there與當(dāng)做副詞用并帶有重音的there搞混：
′There’s a man I want to see．
那就是我想見(jiàn)的人。（他站在門口。）
請(qǐng)比較：
There’s a man I want to see．
我要見(jiàn)個(gè)人。（這個(gè)人存在。）
