Subject: wrong COB on form 485

Case center: Nebraska

My attorney had my country of birth stated incorrectly on the form 485.

The attorney issued a letter of correction to the USCIS a month ago. To make sure that the letter will draw the action from USCIS, I decided to go to info pass to resolve the issue. ( I had a phone call with USCIS representative that they normally do not updated the information until your case is assigned to a adjudicator when the PD day is close.)

The info pass officer is very helpful. She showed me that in the CIS ( main system) that my COB and COC is correct. However, on the form 485, the system shows that my COB is not China.

She called the USCIS to try to have them correct the issue. She got back to me that from what she heard the error is corrected, but at the time the system still showed wrong COB for form 485 and she can not help. She then gave me a fax number, which I can use to fax my correction letter to draw  the attention.

Today, when I checked my case, my 485 has been just updated. ( A LUD on Aug-18-2008)

Although, the case might not be perfectly resolved, at least I feel more comfortable after these actions.
